50,000 Homes in 20 Years for East El Paso
The County of El Paso is considering updates to its subdivision code due to expected growth outside of the city limits. As many as 50,000 homes could be built within the next 20 years around the current El Paso city boundaries. Tornillo Int'l Bridge Nearly Complete... On U.S. Side
The new international bridge at the Tornillo Port of Entry could have been up and running by the end of the year... but construction on the the Mexican portion hasn't even begun.
A six-lane bridge, tollbooths, and inspection facilities are nearly finished, all on the United States side. County Commissioners ok'ed an additional $52,000 for the project this week due to a miscalculation in the amount of embankment material needed.
